STUDENTS & TEACHERS

Lake Management Team works closely with University of Idaho, North Idaho College and area schools on promoting natural resources and STEM education in the region.

We have resources to share with you and your class! Contact us if you are interested in scheduling a field trip or visit for your classroom or program.

Enviroscape®

Our Enviroscape® portable watershed model is a great hands-on tool to use with all ages, illustrating how human land-use activities generate non-point source pollution, negatively impacting our water quality. Presentation time: 20-45 minutes.

Water Quality Field Trips and Classroom Visits

We can customize a classroom visit or even a field trip that includes: water quality testing (Secchi disc, temperature, chemical parameters), historical and current issues with metals in Coeur d’Alene Lake, and understanding lake ecology. We coordinate with instructors to ensure that our presentation meets content standards.
