Education is probably our very best tool for protecting the future health of Coeur d’Alene Lake and the Basin. The watershed offers tremendous opportunities for science education, from water chemistry to food webs to ecosystems.
Lake Management Team staff work closely with University of Idaho, North Idaho College, and area schools on promoting natural resource education. Currently, the Coeur d’Alene Tribe, Idaho Department of Environmental Quality, University of Idaho, and local kindergarten through 12th grade educators are coordinating to identify potential partnership opportunities to enhance watershed education and science concepts in the classroom.
